In a world created to blur reality with imagination, in a dance of whimsy, Stefanie Naifeh, crusader for the unconventional, finds her home. From the San Francisco Opera to avant-garde neo-cabaret to singing world music in 15 languages, Naifeh journeys through a colorful mosaic of music. Stefanie began her classical training at the age of 8, performed with the San Francisco Opera in the children's choir in Carmen, and majored in music at UCLA, where she developed life-long collaborations with other musicians and artists. She formed the avant-garde neo-cabaret band, The Underthings in 1987. This set the stage for her strange and beautiful musical path. In 1995, Naifeh startled her musical community and literally ran away with the circus, where she performed as an aerialist and created her own signature act, La Mariposa.

She returned from her circus adventures to resume her work as a singer, songerwriter, composer.

The 2016 International Songwriting Contest (judges Alicia Keyes, Gwen Stefanie, The Edge, Lenny Kravitz, Dave Grohl, Steven Tyler) gave Naifeh a special honor for her song "Perdue"
